TEN-T NETWORK The development and funding of the Eastern Mediterranean Motorways of the Sea (EastMed-MoS) corridor was incorporated in the European Commission's latest guidelines for the Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T revision - 2004). The motorways of the sea should be seen as the ‘floating infrastructure’ that links selected ports in different Member States and considers a vessel to be an “infrastructure” encouraging long-term investment in ships, ports and the system of waterways. The preparation of the Master Plan for the development of the EastMed-MoS region is a task of major importance for achieving basic objectives of the latest TEN-T expansion and meeting basic requirements of the EU transport policy.
